## Overview

As the number of workflows in your Passcreator account grows, keeping them organized becomes essential. **Workflow Groups** allow you to manually organize your workflows into meaningful categories - such as by function, department, campaign, or integration - making it easier to locate, manage, and collaborate on them.

Using groups helps improve clarity, especially for teams managing multiple workflows across different use cases.

## How Groups Work

Workflow Groups are folders or containers that you create and assign workflows to manually. Each group can hold one or more workflows. A workflow can only belong to one group at a time.

Groups are entirely **user-defined**, which means:

- You choose when and how to create them.
- You assign workflows to groups based on your own structure or needs.
- You can rename or delete groups at any time.
- You can move workflows from one group to another as needed.

This flexible structure helps you tailor your workflow organization to match your operational structure.

## Creating a Group

To create a new group:

1. Navigate to the **Workflows** section from the Passcreator dashboard.
2. Click **“Create Group”** or the **“New Group”** option in the group panel.
3. Enter a name for the group (e.g., “Marketing Campaigns”, “Loyalty Programs”, “Event Integrations”).
4. Save the group. It will now appear in your list of groups on the left-hand side or main view.

You can now begin assigning workflows to this group manually.

## Moving Workflows into Groups

To assign or move a workflow into a group:

1. Locate the workflow in your workflow list.
2. Click on the workflow’s **options menu** (typically represented by three dots or a gear icon).
3. Select **“Move to Group”**.
4. Choose the desired group from the list.

The workflow will now appear under the selected group. You can repeat this to reassign workflows as your organizational needs evolve.

## Renaming or Deleting Groups

To manage groups:

- **Rename a group**: Click the group name, choose **“Rename”**, enter a new name, and save.
- **Delete a group**: Use the delete option from the group’s context menu. Deleting a group will not delete the workflows inside it - they will be returned to the ungrouped list.

## Best Practices for Grouping

- Group by **business function** (e.g., “Sales”, “Operations”, “Customer Service”).
- Group by **workflow type** (e.g., “Pass Creation”, “Loyalty Updates”).
- Use **clear and consistent naming conventions** to make navigation easier.
- Periodically **review and reorganize** groups to reflect changes in processes or team structure.

## Summary

Workflow Groups in Passcreator offer a simple but powerful way to organize your automations. By manually assigning workflows to custom groups, you can maintain a clean and efficient workspace that scales with your team and your automation needs.
